Steve is a well-established and much sought after sound engineer/producer who has worked with the studio since 1990. Steve has worked with a wide range of clients including The Cure, Shed Seven, Chumbawamba, Four day Hombre, Clint Boon, 10 000 Things, XC-NN, Buen Chico, If I were King, The Invention, Immune and The Mission to name a few.

Dave produced Embraces No 1 Album "The Good Will Out" at HD1 and is well respected within the music industry. Having worked with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, The Honeymoon Machine, Sister Of Mercy, Printed Sound ,Waking the Witch & Utah Saints just to name a few, Dave's skills as a producer/engineer are in great demand.

Sam has been engineering for the studio since 1987 and has worked with a variety of clients including Creation Roots, Ajamu, Ray Lewis (Drifters), Pianoman, Harlem Gem, Inder Goldfinger (Ian Brown) etc. Sam has also enjoyed chart success with his own band Plus One. His clientele also includes Private Companies, Local Councils, School & Community Groups/Choirs, Radio & TV Companies etc.

Jason has been with us since 2002, he brings 15 years of sequencing experience with him. Having worked with such bands as Bikini Black Special, Insomnia, Jane Mc Donald, Apple Green, Artizan, The Cut, The Maker, The Get Guns, Bodica, Kozer, Kubrick, Idal Minds, The Retros, Old Man Pie, 16 Days, Cyclone Pink ,and Pianoman. His clientele also includes Private Companies, Local Councils, School & Community Groups/Choirs, Radio & TV ( BBC) Companies etc. He enjoys an excellent rapport with all our clients, and now is a vital part of HD1 Studios.

Henry who has a first class honours degree from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in Sound Technology, has helped bands achieve recognition from record labels and get rotation on major music channels such as MTV2, Scuzz and Kerrang!.
Having worked with bands such as,The Officers, RSJ, Kid Ego, Cardboard Radio, Flaveret 3rd, The Station Club, The Bitter Image and Alistair Griffin (Fame Academy) Henry is fast becoming sort after in the industry.
Henry specialises in rock/metal/pop/industrial and anything powerful and in your face. He is also a visiting lecturer at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

James has been a freelance engineer for HD1 since October 2006. He has spent 11 years touring and recording with a variety of Rock and Punk bands and has a great understanding of the recording methods for these genres. He has also worked with an extensive array of artists from Hip Hop with Spida Lee (Rubicon Records), to Garage with DJ Q and MC Bones (Radio 1Xtra), all the way through to the Pop sensibilities of Sincere Deceivers, the acoustic Folk and Blues of Serious Sam Barrett (Don't Tell Claire Records) and his own Rock band, Gentlemans Pistols (Rise Above Records). James is also a big fan of using the studio's own 24 track 2" tape machine. He is currently involved in providing music workshops for adults with Asperger's Syndrome in song writing, music production and history of popular music.
