The Maker are a an Indie rock band that hail from North Lincolnshire
There music is described to be of very punchy and energetic nature with
blinding, in your face riffs and heart warming, melodic choruses.
A lot of the material is based around the roller coaster of life experiences.
They have worked hard in building up a local fanbase and are now mixing it
with the big boys on the UK circuit and have supported the likes of the
Casbah Club and the Quireboys.

They recorded their first EP at HD1 in January 2006 which was titled Free,
although it wasnt the first HD1 experience as the lead guitarist Lee had
been there before with a previous band and they came highly recommended

Both Lee and Lead singer Chris had been writing material for a number of
years before forming the current line up with the Maker. "We feel that we
have finally found the winning formula in this band and the buzz it is
creating not only within the band but with every crowd we play to and
bands that we play with is absolutely outstanding. We have a very
professional nature and pride ourselves in our stage presence and
live performances."

HD1 studios and Jason Salisbury (Engineer) provided a recording experience with a very comfortable and laid back but professional atmosphere which struck
a chord with the band the minute we arrived at HD1. We all agree that We
all agree that jason was one of the most easy going engineers that we
have met. Between Jason and ourselves we came up with some great ideas
for the EP and both pushed some serious boundries in experience.

The Maker are planning to spend some more time in the studio early next
year but are concentrating on feeding the UK scene with something to think
about in the form of Indie Rock.
