Born, Lee Roberts in Huddersfield, Spida Lee is an upcoming hip hop producer and MC who has recently received support on various radio stations, including 1xtra.
Spida Lee started MC'ing about 10 years ago. When he was only eight years old, he performed for the first time at the Huddersfield Town Hall, Leeds Carnival and Bradford St Georges.

Mostly influenced by Beat Butcher, who was the first producer to take his work seriously, and Skinnyman since his "Council estate of Minds" came out, he went to college at Huddersfield where he studied music for two years in 1996, alongside now prominent artist Justin Hawkins from the Darkness. One year later, he became a garage mc where he learned his distinctive, enegetic style in live performances.
Spida Lee & Skinnyman
In 2001, he became a member of Practical Headz, and appeared in shows all over the UK from Bradford to London. He was discovered by Rubiconbeat, who helped him develop his unique style of rap with both support and encouragement.
In 2005, he released "Verbal Assassin," a hard hitting Northern hip hop track, with a strong UK emphasis, on the Rubicon label. The track, full of energy, attitude and enthusiasm brought Spida Lee to the attention of the rest of the country.
Keen to build his local support base before launching onto the rest of the UK, Spida recently completed a three month tour around west Yorkshire schools. Championed by Skinnyman, now Spida Lee is making quite a name for himself in the North with his hard-hitting hip hop beats and honest lyrics.
