The band first began as the Newz, but by March 2004, it had gone through a number of member changes and only 2 of the original line-up were still in it. Over the first 18 months of existence, people came and went until the five who make up the band today came together. They are New Vinyl
We played a series of gigs over the next few months around West Yorkshire and at each gig gave away CD’s to those who wanted them (we managed to run out at every gig ) this was a very good sign that New Vinyl were now building up a fan base. Within just a few months over 1000 CD’s were given away in total.
We were chosen as one of the bands to play at Clarence Park Music Festival, it turned out to be a very good gig as we were asked if we would like to do the after show party
2006 began well with lots of local gigs, we were also asked if we would like to support Domino Bones ( Bez Happy Mondays) which was a really good gig.
The band have just finished recording a new three track demo which was recorded at HD1 Studios in Huddersfield, produced by Steve Whitfield.
