Lights Out are a 5 piece band based in and around Huddersfield , West Yorkshire . The songs written are based around everyday scenarios of life, and those, which are not so everyday. The band is influenced by all genres including, rock, pop, blues and jazz. Each member of the band brings to the table a different feel and style of playing.

Vinny Harrison (34)- Lead Vocs
Steve Wadsworth(57)- Drums
Sam Dyson (17)- Bass guitar + Backing Vocs
Harry Rowland (15)- Lead Guitar
Geoff Buckle(44)- Rhythm guitar + Keyboard.
Vinny is heavily influenced by such bands as: the Small faces, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and the Stereophonics.
Vinny Harrison
Steve grew up in the swinging 60’s and so is a lover of soul, Motown and The Rolling Stones. He offers rock solid beats which keep the outfit in time throughout a heavy 2 hour gig.
Steve Wadsworth
Harry loves folk, jazz, blues and a whole load of other genres. His bluesy, rich soloing and steady rhythm make him a great asset in the wide selection of material we cover and write ourselves.
Sam loves mainly older music including The Jam, Fleetwood Mac, Toto. His hero is Bruce Foxton, which shines through when he plays his Rickenbacker.

Geoff’s influences are the Shadows, Be Bop Deluxe, Ocean Color Scene. His all time guitar hero is Bill Nelson from Be Bop Deluxe. His Rock solid rhythm playing cements the gaps left between Harry and Sam’s counter melodies often seen in Lights Outs original material.

Lights Out first entered HD1 studios back in 2004, which is where they first met Steve Whitfield, albeit a different line-up to today’s Lights Out. Steve’s expertise and years of engineering helped Lights Out put some covers of the bands they admired.
When the band returned in 2007 with original material, Steve, with the time he had, produced three great songs which have had many plays on the Lights Out website since the recording. As Harry says Steve can “hear a Gnat’s fart through three concrete walls”. In other words, he got a great ear for knowing what sounds right, and what sounds wrong (Sam).
In early 2008, the band returned yet again with three more original songs to get onto disc. Steve was on hand and once again produced some excellent, well mixed listening material.
We hope to join Steve again at HD1 in the near future to complete the growing album.
