IE was the featured band on the BBC Radio’s “Raw Talent” at the end of 2006 and recorded a live session that was broadcast throughout the region. Earlier that year they delivered a storming set to win TNT Magazine’s national Battle of the Bands in London . Through the heats and the final, they beat entrants from across the UK . This was their platform to start to establish themselves as the most promising new act in the Yorkshire region.

This year IE have embarked on a punishing gig schedule around Yorkshire and are securing significant support slots in this region and Manchester which is adding to the enthusiastic local following. Their first digital release “Breathe” and “Believe you all the time” is released in 28 th May 2007
IE are a seriously ambitious band and have already recorded 4 excellent singles with producer Dave Creffield (Embrace, Kaiser Chiefs) at HD1 Studios in Yorkshire, famous for helping to launch the careers of Embrace, Chumbawamba, Terrorvision, and Parva (Kaiser Chiefs) to name a few.
Darren has been writing songs for the last 10 years and draws inspiration from the classic songwriters of British pop music: Lennon, McCartney, Jagger, Gallagher and Albarn... His lyrics are lucid and thought-provoking. His melodies feel instantly recognisable, up-beat and heart-warming. The band works these songs around great vocal harmonies with all four members contributing.
Aaron, who has been playing guitar since he was six, brings flair and colour to IE’s immediate and direct songs that stick in your head.
Jonny, whose early roots lie in punk, brings a vibrant energy and passion to the band’s overall sound.
Ste provides the backbone to the outfit. With his diverse musical influences and precision playing, Ste’s contribution is a major factor in the uniqueness of the bands music.
IE now set their sights on recording an album rivalling the best of recent years. For IE the sky is the limit! With venues lining up to book them and fans crying out for their songs IE’s ambitions to be at the forefront of the next wave Yorkshire bands with hit records and huge followings, has started.
