This is Crystal Lake , three battle-hardened veterans of Hip-Hop who have roamed through the scene for many a year using various guises and aliases. These men have been compelled to express the current attitudes of society today, sometimes hinting but rarely offering solutions that must always remain with the listener.
They also try to relate to the importance of historical times and traditions of our nation and the world in general, whether they are good or bad. I hope you have found this brief synopsis useful, but more importantly, if I may speak for Crystal Lake , they hope that you will appreciate and enjoy the music.
We recorded ‘Ready 4 War’ at the back end of last year at HD1 Studios. The album was brilliantly engineered and mixed by freelance engineer ‘James Reid’. The studio equipment enabled us to get a pristine and crisp finish on both vocals and production. In the relaxed and friendly atmosphere we were able to get the best out of ourselves.
Long time friend and distinguished singer Ebony Fletcher lends her vocals on tracks ‘The Seventh Gate, Tennent’s & Terror and K.H.A.’ Her voice gives the songs a distinctive chorus, which strengthens the whole structure of each track.
